Nissan and Italdesign Create a 50th Anniversary GT-R Prototype

Nissan and Italdesign have created the Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign, the first collaborative result of the two companies. The GT-R50 is based on the 2018 Nissan GT-R NISMO and commemorates the 50th anniversaries of both the GT-R and Italdesign. The car will make its world debut next month in Europe.

Nissan has brought reality and virtual reality together with the ultimate remote-control car for gamers, a Nissan GT-R /C which is operated by a DualShock 4 video game controller. GT Academy winner and NISMO race car driver Jann Mardenborough took the remote-control super car around the Silverstone race track reaching speeds of more than 200 km/h while controlling the GT-R from the cockpit of a helicopter.

Drone Created to Keep up With 2017 Nissan GT-R

Nissan has unveiled the GT-R Drone, one of the fastest accelerating First Person View (FPV) racing drones in the world. Built to be able to keep up with the new 2017 Nissan GT-R while filming on the track, the drone features the very latest in performance-enhancing technology – just like its automotive equivalent. Custom designed by World Drone Prix Champions, Tornado XBlades Racing, the GT-R Drone uses a special race tuned configuration and low-drag canopy to reach 100kph from a standstill in just 1.3 seconds.
