More rubber meets the road later this year when Ford expands the availability of electronic line-lock on 2018 Mustang. The track-exclusive feature, previously available only on V8-powered Mustang GT, will be standard on all pony cars, including those equipped with 2.3-liter EcoBoost engines. The feature is available with either the 10-speed SelectShift automatic or six-speed manual transmission.
The new Porsche 911 GT2 RS is powered by a 700 hp biturbo flat-6 engine. Weighing in at 1,470 kg with a full fuel tank, the lightweight two-seater accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. The rear-wheel drive Coupe has a top speed of 340 km/h, and with its near-motorsport drive technology, the new 911 GT2 RS trumps its 3.6-litre predecessor by 80 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque.
The British sportscar and supercar manufacturer, McLaren Automotive, has had yet another record-breaking year of both vehicle sales and financial performance. Profit before tax of £9.2M from an annual sales revenue of £649.8M in 2016 gave McLaren Automotive a fourth consecutive year of profitability in only six years, since start of sales in 2011. This was an increase in profit before tax of 70% compared to the £5.4M reported in 2015.
