A new era in Chevrolet motorsports has started with the introduction of the Camaro ZL1 as the new race car for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. Seven-time Cup champion Jimmie Johnson, driver of the No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports, joined Mark Reuss, executive vice president of GM Global Product Development, to reveal the new race car at Chevrolet’s headquarters in Detroit.

Chevrolet unleashed a time-attack video of the 2017 Camaro ZL1 lapping the Nürburgring Nordschleife in a blistering 7:29.60. The new ZL1’s lap time is 11.67 seconds quicker than the previous ZL1’s fast lap.

Sam hops into a beautiful Corvette Z06 convertible, first to meet Matt Farah of the Smoking Tire, and then to zip down to Palm Springs for some rest. And zip he didn’t. Even with all of the Z06’s horses, a tolerable 1.5 hour drive became a torturous 4 hour crawl. Thank you L.A. rush hour…

Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner led a 1-2 class finish for Corvette Racing on Saturday with a GT Le Mans (GTLM) victory in the Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park. The victory was the 100th all-time for Corvette Racing – the first team in International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) history to accomplish the feat – and was the fifth win for the program at Lime Rock Park.
