Bugatti has built the 100th Chiron of the 500 that will be built over the cars production run. The 100th car left Bugatti’s headquarters in Molsheim, Alsace and is heading to its owner who lives in the Arabian Peninsula.
The Bugatti Chiron has set a world record for accelerating from 0 to 400 km/h and back to 0 in just 41.96 seconds. That is the fastest time ever recorded and officially measured for this driving manoeuvre for a production car.
The first Bugatti Chiron was delivered to its US customer at the Concours d’Elegance in Pebble Beach California. In Canada, the price is a staggering $4,407,000, including shipping, duties, taxes and charges. The price in the US market is USD 2,998,000.
The largest Bugatti showroom in the world is opening its doors on Sheikh Zayed Road in the centre of Dubai. The French supercar manufacturer’s facility in Dubai is the 15th location in the brand’s global dealership network. With 30 orders received for the Chiron (that’s roughly $100 million!), Bugatti UAE is the brand’s most successful dealership underscoring the importance of the Arabian peninsula as one of Bugatti’s key sales markets. For the inauguration of the new luxury address on the Arabian Gulf, the world’s most powerful, fastest, most luxurious and most exclusive production supercar travelled to Dubai before beginning its tour of the region.
The doors of Bugatti’s “Atelier” at the brand’s headquarters in Molsheim, opened last month for the delivery of the first customer vehicles in the Chiron series. Bugatti Chiron production is gathering speed. Sort of. Actually, it takes an average of six months for 20 Bugatti employees to hand-build each of the world’s most powerful and fastest hypercar from more than 1,800 individual parts! Twelve cars are currently taking shape in the French luxury brand’s production facility, the so called “Atelier” at the company’s headquarters. Delivery of the first vehicles is expected to be in the first quarter of 2017. Up to 70 cars will be built each year.
