2017 was the most successful racing season ever for Audi Sport. In total, with all customer sport race cars, the teams participated in 527 races from January to December 2017, clinched 428 podiums and 157 victories. All of this was achieved with the first and second-generation Audi R8 LMS and the new Audi RS 3 LMS, making Audi Sport one of the leading brands in international customer racing.

In one of the most thrilling editions of the 24 Hours of Spa, Audi clinched its fourth victory in the world’s biggest GT3 endurance race. After 3,824 kilometers, Jules Gounon, Christopher Haase and Markus Winkelhock won by just 11.862 seconds over the second place Bentley Continental GT3 driven by Maxime Soulet, Vincent Abril and Andy Soucek.
